ZURNA

ZURNA is a woodwind instrument and is similar to the mizmar. The name comes from from Persian word sunray (سرنای). It has seven holes and can measure from 30cm to 60cm. It is played during weddings and family ceremonies, folk dances.

Zurnas are used in the folk music in Turkey, Iran, Israel, Azerbaijan, Greece, , Republic of Macedonia, Albania, Serbia, Bosnia, Croatia, Bulgaria.
