CYMBLE ZILLS SAGAT mahtab

Instrument: FINGER CYMBALS

FINGER CYMBALS

Finger cymbals / zills / sagat  is a percussion instrument popular in the Middle East and North Africa, known also in ancient times. It consists of four circular, metal plates which you can fix on your thumbs and middle fingers in order to tap out a rhythm while dancing. Finger cymbals may make sounds with various tones depending on the size of the plates and the metal which they are made of. Most often you can see the gold or silver zills, with smooth or decoratively engraved surface.
