BRAVE  FESTIVAL

Brave Festival – against cultural exile starts this Friday. It is already the eleventh edition, this year focusing on the griot tradition and the art of storytelling.

I participated in the previous editions and I saw Addal – Moroccan dancing women from the Valley Ameln with a long veil covering their faces, a Lebanese film “All about my grandmother” dir. Mahmoud Kaabour, and also I participated in zaar music concert played by group Mazaher from Egypt. Brave Festival is an opportunity to participate in an interesting events and enjoy the outstanding artists from all over the world. This year’s edition will focus on Africa and I especially recommend movies related to Arab culture:

Let me add that the festival has also a version for children called Brave Kids. Children performed during the semi-final shows in Ośrodek Działań Twórczych Światowid.
